Five students from KazGASA are participating in the BUCEA International Summer School 2026 on Smart Cities, held from July 10 to 19, 2026, at the Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture (BUCEA) in Beijing, China.

KazGASA is the only university from Central Asia participating in the program. It was a particular honor for the university that, among representatives from eight participating countries, the five KazGASA students were entrusted with opening the International Summer School’s official opening ceremony, presenting both the university and the Republic of Kazakhstan to participants and organizers.

This significant international event is dedicated to the theme of Smart Cities. The program includes lectures, seminars, and academic activities involving leading international experts, as well as opportunities to learn about Beijing’s educational system and urban environment.

Participation in this program is an important indicator of the development of international academic mobility, the expansion of cooperation with foreign universities, and the active involvement of students in the global agenda related to sustainable urban development and Smart City technologies.
