From August 9 to 11, 2025, the KazGASA, in partnership with Urban Forum Kazakhstan, hosted the creative marathon “Creathon 2025,” which brought together 20 young professionals and enthusiasts from across the country – designers, architects, environmentalists, urbanists, artists, engineers, and sociologists. The marathon was organized as part of the eco-educational program Tabiğat Labs, implemented in collaboration with Chevron.

Participants aged 18 to 35 spent 48 intensive hours in a workshop-laboratory format, working in four teams to develop solutions for creating a more sustainable, accessible, and caring urban environment. The theme of the marathon, “Sustainability and Inclusivity in the Urban Environment,” focused on the key question: How can we make cities more open, friendly, and environmentally responsible for everyone?

Throughout the marathon, teams applied methods of co-design, creative thinking, and interdisciplinary collaboration to propose innovative approaches to solving urban and inclusivity challenges.

The KazGASA consistently supports initiatives aimed at fostering sustainable cities and inclusive communities, creating platforms for the exchange of ideas and the implementation of projects that can improve quality of life.

All developed projects and prototypes will be presented at the InEco Fest – the Festival of Inclusion and Ecology – at the Almaty Botanical Garden on August 15, where visitors will have the opportunity to explore the outcomes and appreciate the contribution of young creators to shaping the future of cities.
