On August 28, 2026, KazGASA held the official opening of a new specialized “Gaudi Paint” classroom, created as part of the university’s cooperation with “Gaudi Paint.”

A key feature of the new space is that its concept and design were developed by KazGASA students through a competition. This allowed student ideas to go beyond an academic project and be implemented in a real educational environment at the university.

Following the competition, “Gaudi Paint” took responsibility for implementing the project, bringing the students’ concept to life and creating a modern classroom for practical learning.

The new classroom is designed to introduce students to modern finishing materials, application technologies and current solutions in interior design. It will host practical classes, workshops and professional meetings with industry representatives.

As part of the opening, “Gaudi Paint” specialists conducted a practical workshop on modern paints, surface preparation, application techniques, colour and texture combinations, and the use of materials in interior design projects.

A panel discussion titled “Global Trends in Design: Are Designers and Manufacturers Keeping Up?” was also held. Practicing architects, designers and industry representatives discussed modern materials and technologies, changes in the market and the importance of continuous professional development.

For KazGASA, the project is an example of practical cooperation between students, the university and the professional community, demonstrating how an educational idea can progress from a student competition to implementation in a real space.
