On August 12, 2026, KazGASA hosted a ceremony to present the honorary title “Honorary Architect of the Republic of Kazakhstan” to Saken Zhumatayev, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Architecture of Residential and Public Buildings.

The honorary title was presented by Miuash Bissarova, representative of the Union of Designers of Kazakhstan. The ceremony was attended by Bakhtiyar Sabdenaliev, Rector of KazGASA.

The conferment of the honorary title recognizes Saken Alzhakhanovich Zhumatayev’s professional contribution to the development of the architectural sector and his many years of work in architecture and education.

For KazGASA, this is a significant achievement reflecting the high professional level of its academic staff and the contribution of university faculty members to the development of architecture in Kazakhstan.
