Delegation of the Kонаev City Administration Visited KazGASA

On February 11, 2026, KazGASA was visited by a delegation from the administration of the city of Konaev and the Almaty Region. The purpose of the visit was to review project proposals for the development and urban planning of Konaev, prepared by faculty members and students of the School of Architecture.

The delegation included Deputy Akim of the Almaty Region Aset Duisebekovich Masabayev, Akim of Konaev Askhаt Ermekuly Berdikhanov, Chief Architect of the Almaty Region Bolat Amanzhanovich Musylmanbekov, Head of the Office of the Akim of the Almaty Region Murat Bakhytkerimovich Madigulov, and representatives of профиль departments.

The guests were presented with the university’s educational and research laboratories, as well as architectural projects aimed at developing the urban environment of Konaev, including the concept of the pedestrian bridge “City of Nomads – Tamgaly Tas.” For this project, the need to уточнить technical conditions related to dam operation and water levels was noted. The presented projects received a positive assessment.

The parties discussed the involvement of students and faculty in developing urban design projects for Konaev and Alatau, as well as the potential use of KazGASA research laboratories as a scientific base for the Almaty Region administration. The Deputy Akim поручил establish cooperation between the developers of the bridge over the Black Canyon in Charyn Canyon and professors of the School of Architecture to optimize the project. Interest was also expressed in engaging the School of Architecture in the development of the tourist cluster of Alatau.
