Educational and Methodological Council
Key role
The Educational and Methodological Council (EMC) was created to improve methodological work and educational and methodological documentation, ensuring high-quality training of specialists. The activities of the EMC are regulated by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Education”, regulatory documents of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Charter of the IEC.
Main tasks
- Improving the organization of the educational process and its methodological support.
- Coordination of the work of educational and methodological councils of faculties, generalization and implementation of best practices.
- Development of recommendations for updating educational programs and state standards.
- Involvement of employers and experts in the development of educational documentation.
- Monitoring the provision of the educational process with textbooks and manuals.
- Development and review of educational and methodological materials.
- Preparation of recommendations for the implementation of modern educational technologies.
- Organization of conferences, seminars and exhibitions on problems of higher education.
Activity
- Conducting meetings, seminars and conferences.
- Reviewing textbooks, manuals and work programs (syllabuses).
- Organizing educational and methodological work and monitoring its implementation.
- Formulating annual plans for publishing educational literature.
- Preparing reports on work and analyzing the teaching experience of teachers.
The work of the UMS is carried out on the basis of an annual plan approved by the rector. The powers of the council are terminated or renewed by order of the rector of the IOC.
