On January 28, 2026, KazGASA launched Design Showcase, a series of educational events dedicated to the 45th anniversary of KazGASA.
The initiative for organizing Design Showcase was led by the Vertex design studio. Its head, Madina Kassymbekova, is a member of the Industrial Committee of the School of Design and also serves on the Academic and Methodological Association.
The first event within the Design Showcase program was the Open Day. KazGASA was visited by leading representatives of the professional design community, including Madina Kassymbekova, Chief Designer and Head of Vertex Studio; Ekaterina Pupchenok, Lead Designer at Vertex Studio; Victoria Baeleva, Founder of Wabi-Sabi Studio; Anna Kotelnikova, Founder of Bianco Nero Studio; Tatyana Kolesnikova, Founder of BRIO Interiors; Yana Khokh, Head of InArt Design Studio; and Marina Sapunova, Founder of the ACCORDO PRIMA Author Interior Bureau. Representatives of the School of Design conducted a tour and presented the educational and research laboratories.
During the meeting between the designers and the leadership of the School of Design, a special program was developed. Within this framework, Design Showcase participants presented topics on which they are ready to conduct master classes and lectures for third- and fourth-year students.
The Open Day resulted in the development of a cooperation plan and the implementation of joint educational initiatives between the School of Design and representatives of the design industry.
