Department History

 Department of General Humanitarian Training (DGHT) was founded in 2005 according to the order №25 dated 3 May 2005 "Restructuring of structural academic subdivisions in Academy" on the base of Department of General Training (DGT) (2000-2005) which joined the Chair of Kazakh, Russian and foreign languages, and the Chair of Social Sciences. Deans of DGT were Abishev A.K. (2000-2004), Nugmanov K.B. (2004-2005).

The first dean of DGHT was associate professor, candidate of philological sciences Adilbayeva U.B. (2005-2007). 2007-2016 – candidate of pedagogical sciences, associate professor Shyntaeva N.S.

2016-2017 – candidate of historical sciences, associate professor Zhumadil A.K. Since 2017 to the present time dean of DGHT is candidate of philosophy, associate professor Kabilova R.Kh.

The mission of the faculty is to ensure the high quality of humanitarian and social education, which contributes to the formation of a fully developed, harmonious personality of future KazGASA specialists.

The purpose of Department of General Humanitarian Training is system coordination, unification of social and humanitarian disciplines and a closer relationship with general professional, special disciplines and pre-university training.

Teachers, who have a solid teaching experience, carry out active methodological and scientific activities. Within the faculty, methodological seminars are held by sections to discuss innovative methods of teaching subjects of sociohumanitarian cycle.

One of the traditions of department is the unity of this team in solving the issues of the educational process, holding annual scientific and practical conferences; subject Olympiad for school graduates by the history of Kazakhstan, Kazakh, Russian, and English.

On the basis of department seminars are organized on Continuing Education Courses in cooperation with the international organization British Council, as well as the inter-university methodological seminar of English teaching staff with the participation of colleagues from KIMEP, KazNRTU after K.I. Satpayev, Turan University, KazGosZhenPU.

Being a center of humanitarian education, department is glad to offer its applicants training in modern educational programs developed in accordance with the State Compulsory Educational Standard and taking into account the latest trends in the development of education in Kazakhstan and abroad.
