Omirzhanova Zhanat graduated from the Moscow Institute of Geodesy, Aerial Survey and Cartography in the specialty "Cartography" in 1992. After graduation she worked as an engineer cartographer in OKE -102. Since 1993 he has been working in KazGASA. For the years of work in this university she held the positions of assistant teacher, assistant pro-rector for NIP, associate professor FTIM. Since 2010 he is the head of the department, supervising the specialty "Geodesy and cartography".
Omirzhanova Zh. defended her thesis on specialty 25.00.32- "Geodesy" in 2005.
During her work, she published about 45 scientific articles, 6 teaching aids, including 1 electronic textbook, about 15 methodological guidelines. One article is included in the Scopus database. He has 3 certificates of state registration of copyright.
Was co-coordinator of the European project "Tempus" under the name "GIS for sustainable development of Kazakhstan". As a result, specialized audiences "GIS-center", "Laboratory of geoinformation mapping", equipped with expensive modern geodetic instruments were opened. Under her leadership, the contractual work "GPS surveys in the villages of Akshiy, Kokzhazyk, Tau-Turgen of the Almaty region" were performed.
She was the co-coordinator of the European project "Tempus named after "GIS for sustainable development of Kazakhstan". She also took part in the development of the UPR (field and cameral works) and DAE (field and cameral works) in the kazakh language, performed in the State National Cartographic-Geodesic. In 2016, editing and proof-reading of the GIS map in ArcGIS were carried out, commissioned by LLP "Kazakhstan Agency GIS and DZ". In 2017, the contractual work "Development of CMR for the design of boreholes" with LLP "Zanzher".
For the last 5 years, foreign scientific internships have taken place: Modern Surveying Techniques, Istanbul, Turkey, 2016, UNESCO CONCORD Academy Paris, 2017.
In 2015 she took part at the international conference Joint International Geoinformation Conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The article was published in the collection "The International Archives of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences", Volume XL-2 / W4, which is part of the Scopus database.
In 2017, she took part in the international conference Scientific Geoconference and Expo SGEM 2017 with the report "Geodetic measurements of the Modern Movements of the Earth Surface on Almaty geodynamic Polygon".
Under her leadership, students take prizes in various events held within the walls of the university and outside the academy. The results of participation in the competitions were marked by the diplomas of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the KazSSTU named after K.I. Satpayev: in the Republican subject Olympiad (in 2015 Galiulina E.-2 place, Aitbakiev A. -3 place, in 2016, Gorbulina O. -2 place), as well as SRW among students of universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan (in 2015 Seysenov Ch.- 1 place, in 2016 Bekzhanov S. - 3 place).
Since 2014 he is a member of the Dissertation Council for the award of the PhD degree in specialty 6D071100- "Geodesy" at the KazSSTU named after K.I. Satpayev. In 2014-2016 she was the chairman of the SAC on the specialty 5B071100- "Geodesy and cartography" in KazSSTU named after. Satpayev.
Since 2016 he is an academician of the International Academy of Informatization of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In 2013-2014 she was a member of the International Society for Digital Earth (ISDE), and since 2015 she has been a reviewer of the journal "Modern Environmental Science and Engineering" of the company "Academic Star Publishing Company".
In 2016, she received a grant "The Best Teacher of the University" of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. She was awarded with diplomas of honor (Akim of Almaty, 2012) and letters of thanks (Gratitude letter from the Committee for Construction and Housing Affairs of the Ministry of Regional Development, 2014 and Gratitude letters for preparing students for the 2nd stage of the Republican Olympiad in Geodesy and Cartography. KI Satpaeva of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, for 2015 and 2016); a breastplate "Honorary Surveyor" of the Agency for Land Management of the Republic of Kazakhstan; "The Best Methodist of KazGASA", 2014; "The best teacher of KazGASA", 2015, etc.
Working at the academy for more than 20 years, she was the head of diploma projects and master's theses for about 100 students and undergraduates, many of whom now successfully work in the field of geodesy and cartography and occupy executive positions.
